The Magic Behind Anümn

"It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting". Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist.

From Chaos Comes Creation

Nowadays the fashion industriy is moving faster and faster to keep up with the ever-increasing demand largely influenced by the media, fast-paced lifestyles, and fast fashion trends.

This creates a superficial system, based on automated processes for fast and serial productions, leading to an excess of products and objects with a short lifespan, that ultimately end up polluting the water table and landfills, posing a serious threat to our environment and the life within it.

Despite this chaotic reality, we believe a better future is within reach. Our company is guided by the principle of cause and effect, recognizing that every action we take impacts the world around us. We are committed to inspiring change in the fashion industry and in consumer behavior by prioritizing sustainability and ethical practices, and sparking conversations through our innovative jewelry, thereby contributing to a more responsible and environmentally conscious future.

Here To Make A Change

Our mission embodies our love for Mother Nature and our passion for design on a creative path where bold pieces of jewelry and accessories are born to complement us in the most authentic way.

Slow Manufacturing Processes

Our designs are the result of a slow, mindful process.
At Anümn Designs, we rescue and condition disposable objects and materials that otherwise will go to waste polluting our planet, and turn them into valuable pieces of jewelry and accessories that carry a message, connecting their owner with the planet and the wish we share of living in a more conscious and healthier world.

Our Materials

In our workshop we keep a wide selection of materials of different colors and textures to unleash the imagination and create unique and original pieces.
Among which are:
- Rubber from tires and inner tubes of bicycles and motorcycles.
- A wide classification of plastics like:

  • PET (Poly Ethylene Terephthalate) from soft plastic bottles.
  • PP (Polypropylene) from bottlecaps and plastic straws.
  • LD-PE (Low Density Poly Ethylene) from bubble wrap.
  • HD-PE (High Density Poly Ethylene) from hard plastic bottles and plastic bags.
  • PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) from punctured inflatables and yoga/exercise balls, discarded raincoats and tablecloths, and other sorts of objects.
  • Others like: bottle corks, textile waste, tin cans, etc.

Recycling and Manufacturing Techniques

Upcycling

Upcycling is a type of recycling, in which a disused product is reformed to be turned into a new product of higher value.
Our black rubber pieces, from the tires and inner tubes of bicycles and motorcycles, are a clear example of this type of recycling, also known as creative reuse.

Recycling

Recycling involves reforming a product into a new material, which requires specialized techniques to break down the original material, and in some cases add new components, to rebuild new material.

For the creation of many of our designs, we weld and shape different materials at high temperatures creating new and original compositions that stand out for their innovative character and distinguished rarity.

Far from mass and serial production, our designs are produced in small batches, reinforcing their quality and uniqueness while giving value to artisanal and sustainable work.

For A Sustainable Life and An Avant-Garde Future

To live a sustainable life, we need options that differ from the attitude of waste.
Recycling and Upcycling help us to achieve this, as they put into practice a circular economy model, where resources are used for as long as possible.

At Anümn Designs we look to the future with hope and conviction of co-creating with our Tribe a greener and more conscious world. One where there is more room to continue growing, expanding and appreciating what is worth fighting for.
